| Such a lovely stay. Kathe the caretaker was a wonderful host and went above and beyond in kindness and hospitality. We enjoyed her immensely. She showed my friend and I the grounds and educated us on homestead life and how to care for the animals. We loved it! The cabin is beautiful. It was built in the 1840’s with renovations and appliance updates. The wood burning stove was our favorite part and the kitchen is adorable. Quaint and simple. We had everything we needed and plenty of state parks and forest preserves to venture to. It is located off of a street so from time to time you will hear bikes or vehicles but it didn’t disrupt our sleep or our stay. |
