Paradise Farm is all the name promises. The idyllic, educational working farm and historic lodgings are quaint, charming, and comfortable. We were giddy with our respite. Mary, our caring host, answered any and all questions prior to our trip and caretaker Kathe is so personable and knowledgeable. The cats, chickens, sheep, goats, and solo duck are so gentle to feed and pet. We were able to gather our own eggs – still warm – for breakfast! Though unseasonably cold for late March, we were super cozy and loved the wood-burning fireplace. We cannot wait to return in early June to see the baby animals! A great place to get away from it all and unplug (though there is wifi). The West Bend Area offers hiking, a wildlife zoo, and some great restaurants. Timmer’s Resort is a must for walleye. |
